WOMEN IN SCIENCE

UX / UI APPLICATION DEMO DESIGN // SCHOOL WORK // ART DIRECTION: JEREMY HOLMES // 2017

the challenge

Create an interactive application experience animated in AfterEffects based on Rachel Ignotofsky’s book “Women in Science - 50 fearless pioneers who changed the world”.

The approach

If it weren't for these women where would our world be? When creating this iPad application demo, I based the entire concept on the curiosity of these fearless pioneers.

I created multiple paper demos to ensure that the user flow and experience was right before moving into AfterEffects to begin animating the artwork and the overall application experience.

The Results

The final demo takes you through an interactive series of scientists where you can read and interact with them, visit the statistics in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics), check out their lab tools, and browse the glossary of items these women used.
